Tributes Continue for Rob and Michele Reiner as Autopsy Reports Face a Security Hold.

More than two weeks following the shocking loss of renowned filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones are still paying respects to the pair.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he just recently felt ready to post publicly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has passed that I can now express my sorrow into words," shared Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began passing more hours together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the production, remarking that he doesn't recollect "a single day without laughter".

"The film is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Principles that Rob cherished deeply. That is part of the many reasons he was the best person to direct it," Elwes continued.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, noting: "To say that they were a incredible duo would be an understatement. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He concluded with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Recalls a Colleague and Comrade

In a different piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he originally knew in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes bitingly funny, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked seamlessly with his co-stars, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official decided to block the publication of the Reiners' autopsy reports, at the request from the LAPD.

A legal directive placed a restriction on the investigation to limit the public release of "any investigative information, notes, reports or photos" associated with the probe.

The coroner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the result of murder, with a record listing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Response and Criticism

Following the deaths, public personalities shared different comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing provocative remarks that were widely condemned by numerous public figures.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the detractors last week. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan labeled the comments as "disturbing" and implied they showed a worrisome lack of empathy.

Rogan concluded by proposing that an adviser should have stepped in when the choice to comment on the tragedy was made.
